It's been one of two steady go-to games on every iPhone I've had. I've been a big fan of Bejeweled Classic since I found it included in the freeware that came with my flat-screen iMac over 20 years ago. I would rate it 5/5 stars, but for me I don’t like the ever-so-often freezes. It can be thrilling when your timed, but soothing when you have anxiety. Barely any ads, it’s calming with sound effects (THAT YOU CAN TURN OFF), and so much more. The more I use the app, whenever I go into any mode, (Zen, ice storm, diamond mining, ect.) everything freezes. I love Bejeweled, but I wish it wouldn’t crash. It’s amazing how you can just calm down and match with those soothing noises when the gems clad together or you get a supernova gem. I reinstalled the app on my phone two weeks ago. He deleted the app, (he wanted to delete it, he just got a bit bored and unchallenged) lost all his progress, and passed the iPad to me because he got a MacBook. He was just like my mom, on level 300+ but not on candy crush saga. My dad had an iPad (that I still have lol) that he gave to me to win him a game. The amount of light that passes through the window of an automobile is measured in Visible Light Transmission (VLT) percentage. In the state of Florida, there are very specific laws governing the percentage of window tint darkness and reflection an automobile is allowed to have. This can help reduce glare and heat buildup in the vehicle. The lower the reflectivity, the less light is being blocked or reflected off of the window. Reflectivity: Window tint reflectivity is the amount of light that is reflected away from the window by a tinted film. The AS-1 line is 4 – 6 inches from the top of the windshield that can be tinted. Rear window tint %: This is the VLT % that’s allowed on your very rear window.įront Windshield: The information here refers to the AS-1 line since entire windshields cannot be tinted in any state legally. The legal limit will vary depending on what type of vehicle it is – either a car or an MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle). This % is higher compared to what is allowed on the rear windows so that police can still see the driver.īack-side window tint %: The level of tinting for the back-side windows must not exceed the VLT% listed in the chart. A higher VLT% means the tint will be lighter because a higher percentage represents more light is passing through.įront-side window tint %: The level of tinting for the front-side windows must not exceed the VLT% listed in the chart. A lower VLT% means the darker the tint because the lower percentage represents a low amount of light that passes through. VLT% indicates the amount of visible light that passes through either just the film or both the film and window combined. VLT%: This stands for Visible Light Transmission. The windshield tinting laws refer to the amount of the windshield that can be legally tinted or the amount of tint allowed on the entire windshield, depending on the state’s regulations. This is also known as the Visible Light Transmission (VLT) percent. As you read these laws, remember that window tint percentages refer to the amount of light allowed in. Understanding this lingo and terminology can help you make the right choices for your car. As you read the breakdown of the different car window tinting laws and regulations by state, you will come across different terms. Biogas faces high costs and complex logistics due to the many small farms 15.įourth, domestic CO 2 capture and storage are surrounded by large geological uncertainties 16. Wood, which is important in the global decarbonisation pathways 12, 13, is confronted by forest management and preservation 14. Low wind speeds, natural landscape preservation, and population density challenge wind power. Hydropower has little room for expansion. Solar photovoltaics have the largest potential for further development, albeit at low irradiation levels. Third, Switzerland has limited domestic renewable resources 11 and depends on imported energy carriers that risk the security of supply. It needs to maintain its carbon-free electricity supply and make progress in decarbonising industry, buildings and transport 4 that have less clear emissions reduction trajectories than the energy transformation sector 10. Second, Switzerland starts from a low-carbon baseline-the country is at the Top-5 of the energy transition index 9. This entails an energy security challenge 7, also confronted by many countries aiming at decommissioning strategic energy supply assets 8. The rejection of the amended CO 2 Act has roots in the many challenges Switzerland faces in achieving its pledges.įirst, the Swiss energy strategy 6 aims to gradually phase out existing nuclear power (safety is the sole criterion for the phase-out time) that supplies 36% of the electricity today. The Swiss direct democracy revealed major societal concerns on energy transition’s feasibility and costs, which are also concealed in many countries worldwide 5. However, the Swiss voters rejected key measures included in the amended CO 2 Act in June 2021. The domestic mitigation effort in 2030 should reach at least 37.5% GHG emissions reduction from the 1990 levels-the amount of ITMOs needed to achieve the 2050 target is currently unspecified. Both targets are to be achieved using Internationally Transferred Mitigation Options (ITMOs). The Swiss long-term climate strategy 4 aims at net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in 2050, with an intermediate target of a 50% reduction in 2030 from the 1990 levels. Switzerland submitted its formal climate plan months before the Paris Agreement 1 and was among the first countries that met the “midnight survival deadline” 2, 3. The average per capita costs of net-zero emissions are 320–13/yr. from 2020 to 2050, depending on exploited domestic mitigation options, integration into international energy markets, and energy security ambition. We find that import independency and net-zero emissions by 2050 require an additional cumulative discounted investment, compared to a business-as-usual scenario, of 300 billion CHF 2019 in energy efficiency, negative emissions and renewable technologies. We suggest feasible technical solutions based on low-carbon technologies, efficiency, and flexibility. Here we apply a well-established techno-economic energy systems model and highlight the challenges of the Swiss energy transition under different technical, socio-economic, and geopolitical contexts. Research on these issues is relevant to the societal and political debates on energy transition worldwide. However, its transition to net-zero carbon dioxide emissions is complicated by limited domestic mitigation options, which tend to increase costs, raise energy security concerns, and trigger socio-economic barriers in policy implementation. Switzerland has one of the lowest carbon intensities among industrialised countries.
